The active case files

A museum curator disappears the night before a private auction. The only witness swears the gallery was locked all night — but a letter, and a boat, say otherwise.

Private investigator Arman Vale vanishes from Central Station after a late-night meeting at Platform 6. His phone and briefcase are recovered, but the witnesses who were there that night can't seem to agree on what happened.

Hours before opening night, artistic director Celeste Marchetti is killed onstage when a counterweight batten drops from the fly loft. Everyone backstage has already decided it was an accident. It wasn't.
Every clue matters
Some clues just add color. Others are the ones the case actually turns on — find those, and the picture starts to hold together.
Every location can be explored for what the last investigator missed.
Branching conversations with characters — ask the wrong way, and a witness stops talking.
Documents, photographs, objects, testimony, forensics — collect what the verdict will stand on.
Hints are always there. Using one always costs you something on the final score.
When you're certain, make your case. Your final answers are scored against what actually happened — there's no second guess once you close the file.
The full investigation
Step 01
Read the briefing. Know what you're walking into before you take a single step.
Step 02
Move between locations and search each one for what's actually there.
Step 03
Some clues surface on their own. Others only show up once you've looked properly.
Step 04
Every piece you collect goes into the case file — building toward a picture, not just a pile.
Step 05
Dialogue with characters branches based on what you already know. Ask well.
Step 06
Answer the final questions. This is the one part of the case you can't take back.
Step 07
Get your score, see what you missed, and see how you rank against every other detective.
Scored, not guessed
Each case is scored out of the same 100 points, weighted toward the verdict itself — your final answers matter most, with investigation thoroughness as meaningful credit and hints as a mild deduction, never the whole story.
Every case you close is kept — see exactly how each investigation went.
Your best score on each case counts toward the public leaderboard.
